Wow, quite the project!

I've actually been wondering about all of this after my tarp got quite a bit of exposure in Florida. I lived in/under it for about 5 months, and although it was in a shaded pine forest it still got a decent bit of direct afternoon sun. It will be interesting to see which waterproof material should last longer if there were no catastrophic failures in the tarp itself.

Nickoli - I originally wanted to see if I could add in UV exposure as well, but that would have doubled/tripled the experiment size. If I had undergrads working for me at the time, I would have thought about it. But it was already too much testing
