    Great Solo Hang

    Hi All,
I had a great solo hang last Saturday night on the Ozark trail. It got down to around 35 degs and I was hoping for rain. Got my wish as the rain started at 3am and rained all morning. I had breakfast from the hammock an laid there until about 9am just watching the rain fall thru the trees, was great!! I stayed dry under my Kelty Noah 12 and warm with my DIY down UQ. Here is a few pics.

Looks like a great time. Love the sound of rain on the tarp, I just don't like hiking out in it.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

I agree with 2ply about the sound of rain on a tarp. Last time I hung, in my backyard actually a couple weeks ago, it rained through the night. Raindrops put me to sleep.

Your trip looks like a good one. Bet the coffee was good in the morning chill.

Nothing better than the sound of rain on your tarp, knowing there's no hurry to get up. Not much better than that.

Great when you can enjoy it, not having to jump up and go or feel like rain is keeping you from doing or seeing something. Gives you the opportunity to just "be" for a while.
And even if you saw it yourself, you wouldn't believe it
But I wouldn't trust a person like me, if I were you
Sure I wasn't there, I swear I have an alibi
I heard it from a man who knows a fella who says it's true

I like that. It wasn't rain but temps in the teens that kept me in the sack for a while longer than usual. I just enjoyed laying there looking at my frost covered surroundings.
