Welcome from the snowy Austrian Alps Nice to hear that despite a few cold experiences, you're keen on hanging more often. The process involved with keeping warm in a hammock is a non-intuitive one, but once you're well equipped with the right gear and knowledge, you'll never feel cold or uncomfortable again

Welcome from Denton, just down the road.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. You are right Peterhase I've tried a lot of stupid things to stay warm that worked on the ground but now that I have my UQ and everything hanging is crazy warm.

I'm planning on hitting Tyler state park when my new uq comes in. Should be sometime at the end of this month. If anyone's interested maybe we should try and get together the first or second weekend of March. Thoughts?

I could do the first week of March or the last week of February. I'm supposed to be going to Georgia second week of March though.

Sounds good! Let's plan on the first weekend of March. That would be the Friday the 6th-Sunday the 8th. I've been out there hanging in the past, and have always loved that park. Great mtn bike trails.

How did you come up with your user name? Seems like I used to have an inside joke with some old employees about purple ninjas, but I don't remember for sure?
