What happen to " Needs Bigger Truck " ?

Was ready to unpack the truck and trailer but it is pouring down rain so I will have to wait another day.

Only 2 1/2 months until the Fat Butt Hang

Good Food, good company, a toasty comfortable place to sleep and a warm fire....what more can you ask for

Once again..thanks to everyone who attended and made the hang a great event

There was discussion about the China Clone canister stoves and several new hangers had not heard of them so here is a link to one of them on EBay,
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ultralight-M...item3cf02d7c18

Most of them are $10 or less

Also some folks were asking where they could get a hammock flag

Devil Woman Flags store ling http://dwflags.com/store/

Link to the Hammock Flags http://dwflags.com/store/view_produc...orumsORINGINAL

She will add your name to the flag if you want ( you do want this ). I also recommend that you get the flag with grommets in the corners as it will make it easier to hang the flag. She will work with you on the colors, just have to email her. I have also ordered a couple of custom made non hammock related flags from her.

Unmighty PM'd me to let me know that the Platypus pouch left in the ice chest is his. I have cleaned it out ( and no I did not drink the contents ) and it is drying now. Will get it back to him at some point. Now I just have to find out who left the small frying pan.

I would like to add my thanks to gunner and everyone there. Every hang is made a little better by anyone who is there. Had a fantastic time and as always it was good to see the usual suspects as well as meet some new folks. Great to see some first time hangers. I stopped at the ranger office to get a bird house and was told I just missed seeing an eagle on the road cleaning up some road kill. Next time I am going to do some eagle hunting with my camera. PappyAmos I liked the Hwy 42 route back to Garner much better than 158 and I-95. THANKS.

Jon and I saw a Bald Eagle stealing some of our Roadkill on our way to camp on Thursday. It very nearly got hit by a truck when it flew out in the road. It was a sight to see.

If you're interested I'd like to get a hang and hike organised one weekend at Umstead Park. There are enough of us in the area.

No problem, If you are at PowHaW I can scare some long necks up for ya. The SouthernStates, right up the road sells 'em. If you someone else makes it there, I'll send a couple back. You'll see what I am talking about.

I would probably come to that.
