Adding doors to my cuben tarp?

I have a Zpacks cuben hex tarp with no doors. I know that the side panels and doors are all one piece in tarps made with doors, but do you think I could add doors to my tarp? I'd like to do it without sewing. How would I go about figuring out the dimensions of the door pieces? I'd like to avoid sewing on pull outs, so do you think I could use small strips of Velcro for closing the doors? Anything else I need to think about?

I am not sure of the shape of the doors, possibly make a few paper templates, but I understand the tape for cuben to be as strong or stronger than the cuben itself so no sewing should be OK

I did a brief test recently using Venture Tape 1163 PSA to adhere Omni Tape to Cuben Fiber and it seems to be holding up really well. I would be more than happy to use that method to close the doors on a tarp.

You could call Zpacks. I bet they would cut you doors and ship them with tape to just put on.

I already contacted Zpacks about shipping the tarp back to them to add doors and they declined, saying that their tarp with doors is all one piece, and is a different shape than the standard hammock tarp, and "it is not as easy as just sewing on doors."

If I want to mutilate my tarp, I'm going to have to do it myself. Or sell it and buy one with doors.

I do like those, especially for the "vestibule mode." But for the $150 it would cost to do both ends, I could sell my current tarp and almost pay for a Winter Palace.

I vote against tarp mutilation. Sell it get the right tarp.

Have any experience with Google SketchUp? That will help you with the dimensions of the doors.

I don't, but I've got a buddy who does. I'll ask him for some help.
