20 deg + 1 oz overstuff Incubator and low of 16 deg. I was cold because when the quilt was hung, there was too much airspace between the UQ and the RR, sticking my hand down there verified this. I then tried to snug up a gear hammock underneath to kill that space but then heat leaked out of the sides where the UQ would normally seal on a gathered end hammock.
Me too, I'd love to see how yours is working.
With a 20 degree Incubator, I do throw a center line up over my tarp ridgeline (hung under the tarp) and attach it to both sides of the UQ. The weight of the quilt pulls the quilt down away from the hammock slightly. I haven't noticed any change in efficiency, but do so more "just in case".
I think you may have been pushing the limits of the quilt too though.
Some say 1oz overfill will buy you 5 extra degrees, some say 1-2 degrees. Pair that with possible wind, slight variance in temperature in location, caloric intake, hydration, etc. etc. and you may have barely been warm in a 0 degree quilt on that same night even if it fit perfectly.
I've been out with a 40 degree quilt and a gathered end hammock on a night the weatherman said it only hit 50 (had a thermometer hung on a nearby tree that registered 43 degrees). A slight wind and a smaller than normal dinner portion and I was chilly.
The reason I mention this is it may be worth it to give it another try before purchasing a different quilt.
I'm 5 foot 4 inches. I don't have any pics of my setup, but I'll take some next hang.
I'm a Mormon. I know it, I live it, and I love it.
Mine shipped today. 8 days since ordering. Not bad. Looks like I will have it for my trip this weekend.
Did you get a tracking number on yours? I got an email yesterday that said "shipping today", but no tracking.
