We parked at the Stone Door ranger station. Hiked out to the Stone Door and then took the trail down into the bottom. Went out the spur trail to Ranger Falls and then on to Alum Gap. The hike back out of the bottom is a multi-stopper (pretty steep). They have designated campsites at Alum Gap - we always stay at one right on the rim. Very cool place to hike/camp.
