    Hammeck Envy-S

Introducing our newest model, the Envy-S, with a completely reimagined Peekaboo cover! Here is a sneak peek in photos, we'll be making it available on our site in the next few weeks, once we iron out some small details. The attendees of the Florida Hang this past weekend were lucky enough to be the first to see it. Thanks for checking it out! Feedback is welcome!

Interesting, can you describe the versatility it has. I believe I can see/imagine from the pictures but I want to be sure. Maybe a caption under each photo??

    Thanks!

    Hey Rob - Absolutely!

For starters, let me remind everyone that our Envy is currently offered with a bugnet and the choice of either the Peak or the Peekaboo cover. The Envy will be undergoing some changes of it's own, but I just wanted to set the stage for the Envy-S. With that being said, the Envy-S will come standard with the new Peekaboo cover. As you may be able to tell, the 'window' portion of the cover has been enlarged substantially. Additionally, we shifted it away from the extreme end of the hammock. In practice, we found it difficult to reach the zippers at the head end, so we wanted to improve that. We decided we wanted to go a bit further, though. With the Envy, you can use the cover OR the bugnet, and the window on the Peekaboo wasn't substantial enough to allow the amount of airflow that one might want in the warmer climates. With this larger window, you can now zip the cover open and maintain freedom from bugs while maximizing airflow. As such, the Envy-S will not include a standalone bugnet by default. We'll offer it as an add-on, though, for those who might prefer it.

As for the versatility... The new Peekaboo design will open up a lot of options for the user. It can be sealed off during the chilly months. For the warm sleepers, it can be cracked to allow for venting. It can be opened partially or fully like any window, but without sacrificing insect protection. It offers a little extra privacy, as well. As you can see in the second-to-last picture, it can actually be closed only on one side of the hammock, for use as a sun shade or to block prying eyes when relaxing.

As I mentioned, the Envy will be seeing some change, as well. Namely, we will stop offering the Peekaboo as an option once the Envy-S rolls out. The Envy will still come with the Peak (solid) cover and bugnet.

Additionally, we're adding an upgrade option for the Netty; removable bugnet! As it stands currently, the Netty's bugnet can be zipped to the end, but not fully removed.

I'm not entirely sure when we're going to roll the Envy-S out, but I'm hopeful it will be in the next couple weeks.

    Thanks!

I had a chance to see it at the Florida Hang and MomMeck gave me a guided tour of it. I like and will be ordering one. Also got a chance to check out the new hammock stands and my wife ( The Terminator ) wants to get one.

I had the privilege of testing this hammock at the FL Hang as well. Very comfortable lay. The bugnet/cover integration was easy to use and practical. Overall, the whole set up was ingenious! I'm just wondering when I'm going to have enough money in the "fun budget" to pull the trigger.
