Dropping in to say Hey!

Hey yall! Well I've been lingering here for awhile and finally decided to take the plunge and introduce myself to yall as well as into hanging.

My name is Jon, I'm based out of north Florida. HF seems to be a great, tight knit, knowledgeable community that I hope to be apart of.

I have been ground dwelling and backpacking for years, but have just recently decided to try hanging. I have enough gear to get by, but I have some other bigger items on order, so I just need to play the waiting game for it to come in.

I am highly interested in group hangs in the north Florida/South/central Georgia areas.

At the moment I am employed working as a GIS steward/editor for the Florida National Hydrography Dataset (FNHD).

I have plans to attempt an AT thru in 2016.

I look forward to meeting some of yall on here and/or in person.
