"New Posts"

Uh oh! As of a couple hours ago and the past 2+ years I was able to click "New Posts" and view all the new posts ("new" to me) AND THEN continue on to all the posts that are not updated, but unread by me.

Now, "new posts" just gives me excatly that...and that's all (like 10 threads!)

Basically, I’m saying I can no longer browse all my unread threads easily, unless I'm overlooking something. I would have to go into every folder and subcategory!! No way.

What changed?

make sure you are signed in. It occasionally will for some reason sign me out.

It will look that way if you accidentally hit "mark forums read."

I don't know why that button exists let alone why it's right below new posts.

It exists to allow members to read all the posts they are interested in and then mark the rest as 'read' so that they don't have to continually wade through all the posts they are not interested in.

One of my favorite tools. I use the New Posts / Mark All As Read combo several times a day. And my wife keeps asking why I've got 12 tabs of "stupid stuff" open...

Is this my solution or do I have a different question?

Here it is: is there a way to sort new threads, not new comments or posts?

Said another way, I want to sort or view only items that I never viewed before regardless if someone commented on them or not. I don't want them to rise to the top just because someone commented.
