    You and me both.
A canoe or trike to do most of the hauling.
A hammock to take away the bumps at night.
Now that's the way to go.

We will see what my gear list looks like once I take the first step down the trail. Something under 25lbs. Is all I am sure of. Some of my finale decisions on what I am taking won't happen until I can check a fairly short term weather forecast. I may bring the large binoculars for star gazing. Will definitely bring the tablet because it weighs less than a book.

Definitely can't make it because of work. I was looking forward to going; hopefully there will be another one in the area some time soon.

Unfortunately they always do. Life sure gets in the way of living sometimes. You guys that can't make it will be missed! The only thing that'll keep me away from this one is blood, broken bones, or presidents.

I do wish we'd hear from Hairbear, tried calling him a few times but he seems to have fallen off the face of the earth.

Not sure about the rest of you but this trip is needed; it's simply time.

Enjoy the fiddling leading up to it. Still on the fence myself....alcohol? Esbit? Alcohol?....or nothing but a pot stand and use wood? Choices and choices!

Thursday evening will be different; I can plan a heavy meal since I'll be right near the trail head.

Skygzr, it's a free website. Go to www.lighterpack.com and sign up.

If one more piece of gear comes in before the trip, I'll be 7 ounces lighter.
With beauty all around you, may you walk.

I vote for wood fire. Hate using stove unless absolutely necessary. Although jet boil does get the coffee ready faster.

Agreed, it's going to take a lot for me to miss this one as well. The last time I was out was at our Frozen Butt hang back in January.

Also debating the stove situation. I normally use alcohol, but ordered an esbit stove that will be here tomorrow and I made a wood type stove from an Altoids can. The altoids can is nice and light and works well but, the weather can ruin the fuel source.
