I was bummed I couldn't make it out. Had some family stuff come up. When's the next trip?

This one was an adventure. Trip report and pics coming!

I think Skygzr got into some Saturday. Thankfully I avoided all the chiggers and ticks. Maybe the Permethrin-soaked pants and long-sleeve shirt helped.
The trip report is up! https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...68#post1518268

Nice write-up, Skygzr!
the trash was the worst I've seen on any trail. I'll tend to ignore a can or wrapper here and there, but this got so bad that we just couldn't bare to leave it.

There's something wrong with someone who would trash a trail/campsite like we saw. I can understand dumping gear in an emergency but folks could have at least burned the trash in the established fire pit!

Alright here is my limerick that I didn't get to share with the group:
Walking the woods, my mind at ease
Wandering about where I please
By campfire light
Zipped up tight
Paradise hanging between two trees
Awesome limerick Mohiker! I think you actually followed the rules! I was grateful to come up with something that rhymed,...at least a little; here's mine:
I journeyed far and wide, seeking what was missing inside.
The cities and lights gave no respite; would I find it in the wood I pondered and signed; I thought....I'll try!
So oft I went and deep in the wood I stopped, and settled aside.
And touching the trail, I found it there, it was freedom that was missing inside!
Luck of the Irish? I think not! But with companion a plenty and a lighter soul, wandering the wilderness, aye, that I've got!
I think I broke all of the rules....
Enjoy the day
Gideon
That's not a limerick! It's great though, rules...pfft.
