The more I see of the Sipsey the more I want to head over there and check it out.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
I love the Sipsey! I have only done the Borden Creek Trail X2, but this area became a number one right away. Attached is a photo of me in the tunnel on the trail. Had to get down on my knees to make it thru to the other side. This trail has many waterfalls and great rock formations. Will hike some of the other trails this spring. Thanks for the video.

Hopefully the audio is better now.
After watching this video, I kind-of feel bad for suggesting you start at Randolph, since the Sipsey Fork was too high to cross. If you use this guage, http://waterdata.usgs.gov/al/nwis/uv?site_no=02450250, you can correlate the cfs to the level you saw on that day.
Also, it looks like you took 206 down to the river from the 201/209/206 intersection. I should have told you to take 209 down to the river crossing. The official crossing on 206 is ridiculously deep. The shallow crossing is on 209. The reason for the confusion is: the area near Shiprock is actually private property. Although there is a trail on the northern bank, and everyone uses it, the Forest Service can't encourage it's use or maintain it. So, they rerouted 209 across the river and up the hill around Rippey Cabin to the 201/206/209 jct you saw.

No problem Dale. I wasn't really thinking, I was just happy to be out in the woods.
Nice video! Been to the Sipsey a few times. Lots of trails and sites out there that I need to see! Thanks for sharing...
