    1.6 Hyper D and 1.6 Nylon D

Are these two fabrics the same, but different names? One is from RSBTR and the other is from Dutch.

They're similar, but not the same (from what I'm told). RSBTR introduced HyperD, then Dutch introduced PolyD and then NylonD was the obvious next step. I've tried to get an answer from Dutch on what the functional difference is between NylonD and HyperD but there may not actually be any appreciable difference in the two. I'm only told that there are "subtle differences that may make NylonD superior" (I paraphrased because I couldn't find the original PM). Having only used/experienced HyperD, I can't speak to the validity of that, though.

I haven't seen any posts/reviews of the NylonD yet which seems weird with how long it's been available.

Honestly, this is probably like asking if 1.9 ripstop from Hancock is better/different than 1.9 ripstop from Joann's...

Hi Eno. In early 2014, I took a look at the fabrics being used by brand name manufacturers for things such as packs, bags, and in one case a hammock. One of these that peaked my interest was diamond weave ripstop. I did some research and learned that it had distinct advantages for making a hammock compared to standard square grid ripstop. Seeing that the DIY community had little to no access to these diamond ripstop fabrics, I set out to change that. In July 2014, after a couple months of searching and then testing on some samples, we released the first diamond ripstop (to my knowledge) in a 1.6 oz 40D material targeted specifically for making hammocks. Our brand name for this fabric line is called HyperD.

Fortunately, the HyperD line lived up to expectations and the overwhelmingly positive feedback I received during testing. The line began to experience immediate success vs standard ripstop because of it's reduced stretch, increased strength, and unique look/feel. You can look around the forum and find numerous examples of that. We are proud to be the leader in bringing diamond ripstop to the hammock community and we have continued to push the envelope with this line in the form of 1.0 HyperD and now HyperD 300. We understand whenever something experiences success, there will be competition coming sooner or later, but we're OK with that. We can't innovate if we're not out in front. Thanks!
