I loved the tarpworms and the silkworm looks really cool as well. A mad genius you are, I tell you, a mad genius.

According to DW.com.....'Each are made from Aluminum and are meant for tie outs and not ridge line'.
since when was dutchware anything but titanium?!? I had actually intended to uses these for my tarp's ridge line. i wanted to be able to wrap around a tree and dutch-hook one side...then wrap the other tree and hook a hookworm to the d-ring of the tarp and tension/center the tarp with the slip hitch side. The fleas and flies all tension in the opposite direction. Why'd you put up the 'not ridge line' disclaimer? And why not stronger titanium?

Alright, I will just have to do some 'testing' with these for you and hopefully they survive long enough for the Ti version's arrival.
Wow Dutch, I just this minute got my fleaz and fleaz collars done for my Cuben Tarp and you go and add some new stuff...my box 'o Dutch stuff looks like it's going to grow again....

So the silkworm is for grosgrain or the like?

(Face palm) Don't know how I missed that on the site. Thanks!

If it makes you feel any better you aren't the only one to miss the simple details sometimes...I have been whining about the fact that the hookworms are not titanium and not dutch-approved for ridge lines, and trying to figure out how I can build a minimised ridge line that hooks on to my tarp and tensions back to the tree...then I realised (after the 100th time of trying to decide) that there is a titanium version, like speedhooks, that is ridge line strength rated and perfect for the job...they are called SpeedHooks. if I wanna get rid of an extra gram or 2 I'm sure I could probably grind it off...but I think it'll do the trick as is.
I love the idea and ease of use, but Why use shock cord for the tie outs? Wouldn't it be better to have solid strong tie outs? Is shock cord strong enough to keep a tarp secure in wind/storms?
