    I got the tarp from http://outdoorequipmentsupplier.com/

    Since it was a custom order, you would have to email Brian ( [email protected] ) to get your tarp made if you wanted this specific version. He has other tarp designs which are excellent as well. If you want the custom 12x10, you might want to include a link to this thread so he knows which design you want.

    Thanks, you mentioned the Speer winter tarp is it the same tarp?

    The Speer is similar in design, only a foot shorter (11x10) and with fewer tieouts. The speer was the first production tarp with this sort of design - a very clever setup.

    eaglej so true. I just decided to make the switch this weekend for my end to end hike this summer. I though picking a tent/pack was confusing but wow hammocking is a whole new world

    It is a whole new world, however its way better. I suggest you guys these steps to go from noob to grand master:

    Watch all of Grizz's videos on the videos section
    Read the whoppie sling suspension thread (sticky-at the top) of the suspension forum, order some 7/64 amsteel blue and make yourself 2 12-16 foot slings
    Check out the DIY projects in the DIY section, there are some easy ones to begin with
    "borrow" your moms sewing machine
