    Bug Net Opinions

I have everything I need for hammocking this year except for a good bug net. I have been doing a lot of research and have pretty much narrowed my choices down to the butt in a sling Buginator, the Wilderness Logic Nosseum bug net, or the ticket to the moon mosquito net 360. I was just wondering what some of your opinions are on any of these nets and or if you have another great net I haven't listed.

I have two NanoBuginators and a Buginator. I like the shock-cord cinch closure on the ridgeline openings. There's also Dutch's Fronkey Style bugnet, but I don't know if there is any closure system on the ridgeline opening. The price is pretty good at $45.

Look up a DIY fronkey style. If DIY isn't your thing Dutchwaregear.com has them for $45 right now I think

Don't get discouraged, they will soon return...worth the wait. Bug season is a ways away...at least for me.

Thanks for the heads up Dutch, I also had a question about your bug net. I was wondering if ther was a shockcord cinch closure on the ridgeline openings?

I usually keep Nanos in stock, but haven't got the site where I want it and don't have a "ready to ship" page yet. Hopefully soon though.

With a fronkey style DIY net you can hand roll the ridge line opening and use cordage to secure it.

I purchased my 12 year old son the Buginator. We didn't realize they are designed for 11' hammocks so he didn't like how it didn't completely seal on the bottom. I kept it for use with my 11' Lite Owl. I then ordered my son the Wilderness Logics bugnet. He likes it better due to the side zip/entry. I think I like the bottom entry. Both appear to be made really well. Yes, the Wilderness Logics bugnet is heavier, but it is very robust. It has held up well with my now 13 year old.
