    Hennessy Christmas 2014

    So my oldest son is 7 yrs old and became a Cub Scout this year. For Christmas we bought him a Scout zip and a couple of pads which qualified us for a free Cub which we gave to his 4 yr old brother.

    Tonight we hung them in our rec room and my 7 yr old's twin sister is now begging for one. They're "camping out" tonight so I'm anxious to hear how they sleep. Either way, fun times!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1419992829.362958.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1419992840.376578.jpg

    Thats great. I had my 11 year old nephew out with us this summer on a camping trip, he asked to sleep in my Hennessy rather than the camper with us and since my sister wasn't there to say no, I let him, he spent the next few nights in it and loved it.

    Awesome.... those kids can't wait to go outside...
    There was an Old Man with a owl,
    Who continued to bother and howl;
    He sat on a rail, And imbibed bitter ale,
    Which refreshed that Old Man and his owl

    REPORT:
    The first night everyone slept like logs. The next day, my daughter asked if she could use my hammock so I hung it for her. They slept two more nights and loved it. My 4 yr old yesterday said, "Daddy, I like my hammock better than my bed!"

    I hope all parents keep in mind that little girls also enjoy outdoor activities. When I was growing up I was the youngest (and a girl) but I was always treated the same by my Father as he treated my brother and boy cousins. I was just one of the boys when it came to camping, hunting, fishing, or anything else we did during those early years. It would have been a terrible day if the boys had received their first pocketknives and had I been left out. I still have that old knife and it holds a special place in my heart from that memory. Please don't exclude the little girls when buying or making gear. Really I promise it's important.

    I vote hammocks for ALL!!
