Finger Lakes Trail. McCarthy Hill State Forest.

I took my daughter(12), step daughter(8), and son(7), on a short hike today on a nearby trail. We stopped at a lean too and had dinner, before heading back to the van. It was nice to get the kids out there a little bit. I wanted to see how well they could handle the cold. I may try camping with them here in a couple weeks.

    Thanks for looking,

    They did!
It was a great success... Other than my son wining about the cold (it was probably high 20's low 30's). You can see him carefully warming his hands near the stove.
It got dark pretty quickly, lol... and the two littler ones were a bit scared on the way out.

We shall see in a couple weeks when I try to get them for an overnight.

I need to make me an under quilt pretty quickly!

    Best,

    Chris
