? How to quick store hammock/TQ/UQ together for fast recovery/repitch

Thanks in advance for your input. I'm thinking I want to quickly store my hammock/UQ/TQ together in the morning so that when I unfurl it the next evening that it is somewhat already assembled, save for some minor adjusting. How might I do that? Does anyone use a tarp snake, (only larger) on a hammock, or is there a better way? I've got the hammock stand in the boat, and I'm thinking about the kit absorbing water overnight being so near to the source. I'd like to (maybe, we'll see) leave it attached to the hammock stand in a mosquito net snake for at least part of the day to aid its drying out. I figure a couple of runs between fishing spots in the morning with it still on the stand, contained in the snake and up in the air and a little intense sun in the afternoon might dry it sufficiently. Anybody else use snake skins like this, or is there a better way? Also, anyone have a good link to DIY plans for skins? Thanks!

Dd hammocks makes some giant skins
Got a set to play with large enough you can slide over UQ and TQ and tarp etc.. Basically everything in place
Kinda cool idea for fast setup

Have seen other large skins forgot where

Maybe I read it wrong, but the title of the thread seems to be asking if there's a single snake skin for ALL the gear: there are a few on the market or you can make your own. Here's one: http://www.wildernesslogics.com/THE-...-Lazy-Slug.htm

I've also heard these over-sized snake skins referred to as PYTHON skins.

As for drying out wet gear IN a skin; I'm sorry but I can't advise you with that one. Weather conditions vary enormously, and so drying things out (or absorbing more moisture) is dependant on those variables. But, at a pinch, I guess you could heat up a small pile of rocks in your camp fire during breakfast, suspend the damp hammock above them (far enough not to catch fire nor melt) and maybe, just maybe, the radiated and convected heat might speed up the drying process. But of course, NEVER heat rocks from a river bed or shoreline unless you want exploding rock shrapnel in your eyes.

Assuming your only camping in clear skys with no rain/snow, no fog, low humidity, no birds overhead, etc, etc, I would say to go for it. Other than that, I would forget to try and include the tarp into a "skin" of anytype that includes your bed(hammock) and insulation.

That's just me, though. Many folks use HH that incorporate hammock and tarp. It's just not for me. I don't like my roof in the same bag as my bed.

Lazy Slug tube or and DIY version that fits your rig is fine. A tarp in skins and hammock/quilts in tube would make for an easy repitch to me.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Kind of off topic but I can't find any pictures or videos on how to compress and pack the "TUBE" once you get your gear in them. If any one could point me that direction it would be great. FWIW I would not want to pack my tarp with my down- it is almost always wet or damp. I could see having the sleeping rig- UQ,TQ,Hammock together in one tube could cut down on the time it takes to get a cup of coffee after a long hike. If it works well for others I may give it a try.

The LST works great in summer, but becomes too bulky with 4-season quilts for my taste. Here are some photos of my LST with winter UQ/TQ and UQP.
