If you don't have a snow shovel, a long handle square nose shovel works good too.
I like the long handle because if you were to get your car into some deep snow it makes it easy to remove snow pack from under the car.
Also, it I think it's a little easier on the back.

    Stay warm Donna

OK OK, I can't stand it, All my friends are going and I can't let them have all the fun without me!!! I'm glad the dates this year aren't interfering with my week long trip to the Florida Hang. But I will just be getting back from it so will have to get caught up on work which means I will only be coming for Sat & Sunday.
Tracy, I didn't see your name on the spread sheet, I'm challenging you to join me girl, come on!

Group meals....it's always been pretty much wide open. People bring their favorite campfire food to share. I've always brought beans. They're not exactly ordinary; beans should be revered, with lots of meaty goodness thrown in and seasoned to perfection. I love to cook 'em over the fire. That's why the original recipe is called Home Run's Blazing Saddle Beans! Mongo knew how to do it right!
Think about what you'd like to share....any kind of dish is good. You don't have to cook for the whole group. Just bring enough for a few to share....and viola, everyone is stuffed and ready to snore off some good chow.
Once you decide, please add it to the sign-up sheet. It'll help with the planning.
We'll need to be sure we have enough stoves, pots, utensils, coolers, etc. Remember, we're car camping!

    Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Aww, thanks guys, but I never got out enough in the winter so I sold all my really warm gear. I had a lot of expensive down just sitting in the closet. Plus, I'm trying to heal my foot. Plantar fasciitis has me hobbling around right now. Thanks for thinking of me!

I'm keeping my fingers cross that you get the best winter weather.

Ah, we understand. You'll be there in spirit. We're very thankful for the wonderful job you did getting the greeting for the hang posted. Very nice. We'll be thinking of you and hoping for your foot to feel better soon

There will be some cold ponies up in the Highlands tonight! (-7 with some wind and snow showers.) However, like here in Ohio the weather quickly warms to more seasonal temps. In another week, we'll be able to get a long range forecast for our hang. Think piles of snow!......after we get there of course!
