    Greetings from a hanger Newbie!

Hello Everyone! I'm from the Alpharetta area. After watching my girlfriend "hang" in her ENO Dbl Nest and spending a few minutes in it myself, I decided to do some research about whether or not it's a common practice to sleep overnight in a hammock. Little did I know, I found a massive cottage industry and following. Saw quite a few Shugemery vids on Youtube and then bought an ENO Dbl Nest for my son this Christmas. For myself, I decided on the Sierra Madre Pares hammock and have slept in it for the last 5 nights in the sitting room off the master bedroom. My back pain has disappeared and my GF says she hasn't heard me snore AT ALL! All my research has been on UQ's and warmth since its colder this month in North Georgia. I believe I'm going to go with the Nube shelter and make some mods (UQ/TQ). Anyone have any thoughts on the shelter?

Anyway, just wanted to say Hello to my fellow Georgians on the forum as well as the rest of the subscribers. I'd love to hear more about UQ costs and how to circumvent the "big box" prices but have no access to a sowing machine (wouldnt know what to do with it if I had one).

Hope to meet up with some locals and "hang out" !!!

You can't enjoy the scenery with the Nube .. With bug net and tarp you can fold the tarp back on nice nights and see the stars, still covered by bug net .. I'm using a warbonnet blackbird and tarp ...

Welcome to the forum. A great uq that is quite affordable is from arrowhead. I have both the tq and the uq from Paul and am very happy with the performance. As far as snoring one of the guys I camp with snores verrrrry loud in the Hammock. So I don't think that helps him anyway.
