Tarp pole length vs. tarp wall angle

Several of the posts discussing tarp poles have me intrigued. The Dutchware kit seems pretty nice. I have a SuperFly and usually pull the sides pretty close to the ground.

Do the lengths of the tarp poles depend on the angle of the sides of the tarp or does one just use different length lines down to the tieouts?

I use fixed length side tieout lines and tent poles... never had problem with various angles on my tarp setup. Should not be a problem for you.

I would set your tarp up the way you like to use it and adjust the line length from the pole mod to the tieouts without over stressing the poles.

On my pull out, I out a line with two loops about 2 inches apart. That way depending on how I pitch it I can use the loop that works best. If I am stuck in trees or on uneven ground I might have one side or end at a different pitch than the other.
