I'm heading to Batona camp Dec 26-29 to get my last trip in for 2014.

This will be a fend for yourself trip. Going to keep it simple and relax in the outdoors for 3 nights to decompress from the holidays.

Stopped by the Amish Market today at Columbus. Picked up some spare ribes, baby back ribs and checked out the pricing on both cooked/uncooked racks. Yowza.

The stop almost didn't happen as my nephew Soybean was lobbying for a trip to White Dotte for a hot dogs. When pressed for any reason that a hot dog could stand up to ribs, he responded with, "they're not campfire ribs". He has been spoiled, plain and simple.

Oh yeah, I'm in.

If it rains and we have to hang a campfire tarp, I'm going to be watching you people. Last time we had a campfire tarp at Batona, somebody disassembled two of my 1/8 Amsteel soft shackles to use as common cordage. It's a crime against soft shackles, I say!
