    Question about 2QZQ Tree table

For the ones that have them do you carry them with you on most trips?

Has anyone used a regular strap with a side releas plastic buckle for the strap instead of the one they sell with the table?

Anyone not happy with it and wish you didn't get it?

    Donna here...

Tim tried several different strap configurations. He found it very difficult to unfasten the flat buckles with the tension on the strap wrapped tightly around the tree. The one he uses and we offer, easily releases the tension....very nice!

This tree table is as handy as a shirt pocket... it will go with me on every trip. While certainly a luxury item, it takes virtually zero space in my pack and the light weight warrants the convenience of carrying it. I like it for cooking and food prep. Keeps my cookware and food off the ground and I don't have to bend over to tend to the stove.

There is nothing wrong with the strap that comes with it, but you could use any type of strap that suits your needs. Now that you mention it, you could probably use some zing-it and Dutch bling to save a couple of grams.

I give this item an enthusiastic thumbs-up!

I'd question the zing it. There is a lot of force on a small area that way. Not good for the tree.
    YMMV

Love mine, it's always in my pack. Really appreciate having the cook surface up off the ground and convenient to whatever chair, hammock, rock, log I am using.

The strap included, as Donna mentioned, is the easiest to use for the reason described. If you think you would encounter trees of a greater diameter than the strap would support (diameter of 12"-13"), a longer version of that strap is available supporting a diameter of approximately 19".

The table is extremely stable and handles any reasonable load placed on it. I loaded a 6-8lb fire brick on it just for testing and the table was rock solid.

The 2QZQ Tree table is an awesome piece of gear that lives in my cook kit sack full time, .
At first i ordered mine without the strap and ended up ordering it later on, it's the best match up imo.
    Buy it,, you'll love it!

If its good enough for a tarp, I can't see why it wouldn't be just fine for the table.

    I should add...

FWIW...we offer the straps when purchased with the Tree Table with no markup...what it cost us to purchase is the same cost to customer.

I love the table and will have it with me any time I am out on the trail. Saves my back from cooking on the ground and the strap that comes with it is awesome.

Just placed the order for one. Not sure about the process of finishing the order since the online system didn't go through a payment process.
