    As a matter of fact.........

I have two sets, one in the living room, and one in the bedroom. Pretty easy to install, with minimal tools. Make sure you use a good wall stud finder. Not a cheap B&D piece of crap. Ditch the cord the kit comes with. Just use a set of tree huggers. Check the lag bolts every so often. If you like to swing in the hammock, they tend to back out a bit over time.

Been a full time hanger for over three months now, they get daily/nightly use.

    Cheers

I am planning on installing it into single vertical studs near the wall corners at opposite/diagonal sides of a room. I like this mount because it is pretty discreet as far as they go. I weigh ~160lb, should I be fine with this setup??

I'm guessing that since the hammock is rated for 350lbs, that the hardware would support that as well, but you may want to ask them.

The brackets say they're good for 400..

I made this to spread weight out and so far nothing has moved.. I've been sleeping in the hammock full time for a few months.

The caribiner is on there just for size reference.

Thanks all for the help. I have complete confidence in the strength of the ENO hanging kit, I was concerned about the studs being able to handle the stress. My house was built in 1922, the walls are definitely lathe/plaster but I have a good quality stud finder and I have determined that there are studs behind there alright! I don't think using any other method that spreads out the weight by means of a larger bracket is an option for me given the aesthetic of it. These are about the maximum I can get away with, by spousal approval.

I have 2" rings in the bedroom and ENO Indoor Hammock Hanging kit in the living room, I have slept on the eno for 5mo till my daughters family moved back in, I still get a nap in now and again. Mounting to lath and plaster find the stud then use a very small drill bit to find the edges of the stud, center the 5/16 drill bit and drill, with plaster you might want to use the small bit to outline the 5/16 hols to prevent breakout. See my file for photos, Have fun it is a blast hanging inside.

I successfully installed the ENO kit last week. I highly recommend using a socket wrench with a 9/16 size socket, especially if installing close to the corner of a room like I did. Based on how hard it was to get the bolt all the way in I became increasingly confident in the strength and sturdiness of my setup. I ended up having to take them out and move both up another 9" or so because my butt was touching the bed below me. I've got my brand new BIAS weight weenie micro set up in the guest room. I like these anchors because they are relatively small and discreet. They are certainly heavy duty though!

The hangers themselves (not the carabiners or bolts) are similar if not the same as those used in climbing. If you are not familiar with the stresses, this might relieve your concern.
