Broken Pull Out

I love the clip-on tarp pull outs, however I seem to have had bad luck with one of them:

I love the other three I got, but this guy snapped right out of the box. Ever have this problem with these? Is there a special way to open them?

Yeah, i tried them once and broke 2 of them but i have a buddy who uses them with no problem,, he told me i was opening them wrong, ..

Odd,ive used mine in 30+ mph winds without a hitch. Must be a defect

Interested to know how you were opening them wrong..

The ones I have have survived me, and a tornado.. well 3 out of 4 survived... the 4th went AWOL with the pole mod. As an added bonus, I did find the little white "Doughnut" from that one.. so I have a spare one of those.
