    Smaller Torso pad for legs?

    Looking at JacksRBetter for instance.
If you had a Yetti sized UQ, a Torso pad is much larger than needed for just your legs.
But the JacksRBetter and Gossamers are light and seem to roll up small.

Would you be better off trimming it down to 30x25 or keep the versatility of the 48x25?
    I'm 6'1"
Was looking at 30" to have overlap and a little extra

I only use a Thermarest sit pad in the footbox of my TQ along with my partial UQs. Never seem to get cold on the back of what bit of leg is not covered...though I do keep a 14x16 piece of reflectix in my kit for a sit pad and use it once in a while to slip behind my legs.

    Nice

I have an old Thermarest Ridgerest Solite that is way too bulky for backpacking at full size
But it would make a nice Sitpad and double duty under my feet and it would pack flat on my pack frame or as a liner inside.

And after cutting it down I would still have a torso pad or multiple hunting seats...making a rig for my son too so trying not to waste any material

I just cut an 18"x25" Pad out (I had the 25" Wide version).
It weighs 122 grams or 4.3oz.
Fills the outer perimeter of my Medium ALICE Pack.
I might cut off an inch or two to make it a little easier to fit.

In comparison, the JacksRBetter 26"x48" Torso Pad weighs the SAME 4.3oz

I haven't used the 1/4" CCF before but I imagine that the corrugated structure of the Ridgerest makes a better sit pad.
I wonder if it makes any difference as a Leg/Foot pad?
