    Greylock or Nest?

I will be getting 2 UQ (hopefully) one for me and the wifey and was wondering if I should go with the greylock3 or the nest. We use HH but she has a scout with a bottom entry and mine is a side zip. We will be hanging anywhere from 30 to 80 degrees and I don't want to buy twice. Also the greylock is on a silly sale and dot want to miss it. Thoughts?

I have both. Both very good. The Greylock could be a little longer for me. The Nest works great on the HH bottom entry. It also works great on my wife's JrB BMBH and I've have used it once on my WBBB.

For some reason I find 3/4 UQ stay in place easier. Maybe quilts hooks would help on a full one. But with a 3/4 the shock cord over my feet holds it just right.

Bottom entry HH made easy go with the Winter Nest. I got the Nest and wish I had the Winter Nest. I can always vent it. For the zipper style I would go with the Greylock

I would also check out the Potomac from AHE. It is made specifically to fit the HH asym hammocks.

I may just get a greylock or 2 so I can be as awesome as the Shugness. So expensive though!

I saw the Potomac but the Greylock will fit the asym as well and is less expensive. Is there a big quality difference between JRB and HG?

I can't speak for AHE because I don't have anything from them. I have WL, JrB, and HG quilts. All are great quality. I have no doubt AHE, UGQ, war bonnet, and anyone else I left out make great gear I just don't have any.

They all have something a little different an you just have to decide which fits you best. Believe me it wasn't an easy decision. I made sheets with price, weight, size, and finally just had to pick.

Took the Shug in the third's advice and went with the greylock 3 but got it in long as I am a good ol Texas boy and need it a little bigger. Looking forward to hanging in comfort and no more pad and cold butt!
