Son and I and maybe a few others plan on hiking the Neusiok Trail from 31 Oct-1Nov (21.5 Miles). With a Halloween overnight at the half way point hammock style of course.
    Straight out of Clayton.

Most physical hike: Grandfather Mountain, NC. Aug 13.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.

Wow, this weekend is shaping up nicely! Lows in the low 30's, highs Saturday in the 50's. GREAT hiking weather!

I'll just be at home handing out candy. Cold and wet, maybe some snow. Poor kids. The last two Halloweens sucked for weather.

I am thinking about a "backyard hang" that night. I now live on ten acres and have lots of room to play on now. Especially since it is not "square" and kinda wraps around a bit.

After watching a movie about Bigfoot(s) -who killed pretty much everyone in the movie-- and then several Halloween movies on AMC--slightly creeped myself out. But it might not stop me from trying to hang on Halloween. Enjoy and stay safe!

I was thinking of doing backyard hanging with my turtledog stand Friday night now that I lengthened the center pole to accommodate my 11' hammock. Should be fun - supposed to rain all day then snow overnight.

The only hiking I'll be doing is up and down the football stadium selling raffle tickets for the band! It's one way to get some hill climbing in!

My son and two friends plan to ground pound in a t&@t. We have protected woods behind our house. I may just have to hang near them to make sure they are safe...or to scare the bejesus out of them in the middle of the night!
