EXTREME weather vs Dutch Ti Cinch Buckle

I loved my original dutch cinch buckles, but I just replaced them with the Ti version to save a little bit of weight. I use them with my bridge hammock at 20-25 degrees with warbonnet 1" poly straps. I weigh in around 270 lbs.

I just got back from a 5 day backpacking trip in the Smokies where my straps were saturated by lots of rain (monsooning buckets of cats and dogs) and further stressed by howling blasting winds, and I detected no slippage on the cinch buckles at all in these conditions. I am very impressed!

    Dutch,

Oh man, it was a mess of a trip. Check out my quick reviews on your Wasps and on my HG cuben tarp to see a bit more information on the weather. 80MPH gusts of wind and falling trees which almost took out our ride home. I especially liked riding out the massive wind gusts while strapped to an undersized tree. It was more fun than the penny horse at Meijer.
