Thanks for the report. We've been considering it for a couple of years. Are there plenty of flat spaces near the useful trees, for my two ground dwelling hiking friends?

I think a brief group hang is trying for October 18th. Probably on the Nehalem River near Tillamook.

Due to unfortunate circumstances, departure has been delayed and this newbie won't be arriving until dark. Please save me a couple trees.

I'm glad to see this. When I read about the stairs I started rethinking my whole pack. I'm a big fan of car camping and throwing stuff in 'just in case'.

    Nice Jerzybears, thanks.

Just a heads up: I noticed on the state park page that sites 3 & 4 are accessed by 50 feet of stairs, in case anyone's wondering.

I'm interested in whoopie slings. I read somewhere on HF that my suspension type was popular 6-8 years ago, but the newer (and lighter) in-thing is this.

Do we need a Forest Pass or to pay extra car fees? I'm figuring out my budget that would include 500+ miles of gas.

    Weight your CDT First

I finally finished my Costco down throw topquilt project. Green, seam ripped, sewn footbox, four tiny snaps from my grandma's button box, and impatience at the wait before I can use it. However, when...
