You can also (though you just asked for a choice between the Bowline and the Alpine Butterfly) use the Figure Eight Loop (page 23, Fig. 28) which also places the loop at the end of the rope.

I would go with a Bowline, it places the loop at the end of the rope and so would be better for this task.
There are several Bowlines to choose from.

One can tie most knots in webbing, main downside (an important one) is that it is difficult to check the knot as webbing does not keep its shape as rope...
