Buckles are super easy to use. Whoopies are lighter and have more of a learning curve.

I'm with Shug. All my camping is done in the Whites. Tons of close trees and uneven ground. The spot when found slaps me in the face.

I agree . Since you are from Texas your blood is thinner due to higher temp . I don't think it matters if you have a full or .75 UQ. IMO I would save the weight and use a .75UQ. You will probably...
PM'd you

I feel the same.
Mine is 950. Loco Libre Gear offers 950 and has exceptional quality and is less expensive . Those chevron baffles make me happy.[emoji2]
My Enigma 30 degree was about $430. I find that to be expensive .
I have an EE quilt . They have good quality but are far more expensive than most vendors.

I beat my gear. This tarp didn't have a stitch or blemish from hard use. The seam sealing is amazing on the SilPro . It has been a water tight fortress . I could keep going but it's just my opinion.
I also have a OES SilPro . The is an amazing piece of gear. I have had a few tarps. This is by far the best one yet. I have used this tarp in all kinds of White Mountain weather. It has been my go to...
Are they metallic on both sides

I've owned the XLC and loved the comfort. I am a weight weenie. In pursuit of finding a lighter more compressible hammock. The Dutch Half-Wit is a fantastic light weight option. If weight and cash...

Check out the mountain smith
Scream. Inexpensive and a great pack
What's the budget?
Hammock Gear makes a good one. Also Dutch would probably make one upon request.
I get the theory. It seems like it would take a lot of fabric to achieve results.
Most ridgeline organizers have a bottle spot in them. I use a 1L plat with a s-biner attached . I I attach to my lack when I hike and ridgeline when I sleep.
...
74ft of zing it is $16.50 . To was the pain of tangles it seems worth it.
Is this setup for backpacking? If so the Noah , army net, and snug will be a lot weight.
+1 . I would just save a few more pennies and get a down UQ. IMHO so your not spending money on down , down the road.
Looks like a sweet setup
I could be wrong but most Kevlar material is mostly yellow
Are those split rings from a local hardware store?

My son was going Loco.
It's gonna be a fantastic tarp.
So what are people's preferences and why? I have always used my tarp d-rings to tie out. I have never used a CRL. I know the difference between them. Just want a feeler .
Check out durtsurfer tarps $100

Robic is not a new fabric. It is dyneema . Not the softest of materials but very strong.
I am a procrastinator at doing write ups. George @locolibregear is amazing to work with. He has helped me on 3 of his quilts. I have referred friends to him . He has exceptional quality and service. ...
I would recommend some Dutch clips . Will make it easier and no real weight penalty .
Hahahahahaha
The hammock you will have no regret. The knotty mod I absolutely love. I do feel it makes a huge difference. Also I am not restricted to a specific lay. The suspension will take some practice to use....
I've used at as leash . I think it would work.
Great upgrades to the site. Makes me wanna purchase another quilt.
That's a good looking tarp.
Go with the Adutchables. That's a great fit for what your needs are. I have them with Kevlar straps and slings/hooks. Great setup
Something between 30-40L. A main compartment with either a roll top/ cinch closure. Stretch front pocket . Frameless and 2 stretch water bottle pockets .
I have a 50 and 30 degree TQ. I use the 50 for the summer and the 30 for spring/fall.
Check DutchWare out. Best bang for the buck and he is a guru . If you have the ability to go the store that would be awesome.
Ok how old is your son? My son is 4 I had a couple of vendors make some great product that will last him until his about '5'5". Dutch from DutchWare made me the first child Half-Wit and George from...
