Now you got me...
But do not try this with a Smart water bottle. It will shrink up quicker than you can pour the water into it. Ask me how I know!
I had so much fun at this hang last year, that I will try it again this year! Looking forward to seeing everyone.
It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones. I look forward to the next hang.
If anyone is looking for a map here is mine:
https://caltopo.com/m/8KM9
The "fire ring" is the location of the hang.
I am planning to arrive sometime Thursday.
Forecast is looking better today! <hopeful>
I am looking forward to seeing everyone, its been a while since I have made it to a Hoosier Hang. Hoping the forecast improves a little between now and then.
I really enjoyed my first Mt. Rogers hang and will have to come back. A big thank you to those that had a hand in putting this hang together it was much appreciated.
You should. I have been wanting to make it to this hang for years and finally made it this year. It was a great time, and SO MUCH FOOD! I definitely have plans to return next year.
This will be my first time attending a Mt. Rogers hang and I am looking forward to it.
Will add it to my calendar.
This will be my first time attending the Wisconsin FBH and I am really looking forward to it. In southern Indiana the snow doesn't usually stick around very long, so I am hoping to see a lot of it.
Unfortunately I have some family business I must take care of this weekend.
Hopefully I will have better luck in the fall.
Count me in!
Butters and I had a great time! As promised here is my chocolate cake recipe. You can either make it with a box mix or the devil’s food cake here:...
Got ya covered.
FYI the water has been shut off to the campgrounds due to a leak.
On my way now.

We will be at the North Face Loop campsites.
What time is everyone planning to arrive?
Will there be enough snow for me to try out my snowshoes or should I just leave them home?
Maybe some of this snow will stick around for us.
Looks like I will be bringing a buddy with me. He is a ground dweller, but still pretty cool!
Bernoulli is also exciting to...
I have been hearing about this legendary hang for years and I am very excited to be able to attend this year!
Sign me up! I am hoping for some snow.

Bernoulli and I were at the site last night and the creeks were all dry. Of course that may change today.
I should arrive around dusk tonight, who else will be there?
I was just up that way this past weekend and there is a small amount of parking less than .1 mile down the road on the opposite side.
It has been too long. I plan on coming this fall, but will leave on Saturday. I may come in the short way and bring Butters too!
It is around the fire ring on my map:
https://caltopo.com/m/8KM9
The field is a little soft after last nights rain, so if you don't have 4wd you might want to park by the tan truck and call me at 812-871-2074.
Don't forget to bring something for the pitch-in on Saturday.
Directions:
From state Rd 3 turn right (left if coming from the south) onto Adams St in Blocher. Go 1 block to the end of the...
The camp out is now a week out and the forecast is calling for mild weather and a chance of rain on Saturday. I received a turkey for Christmas from work and I will try cooking it on a spit over the...
Come anytime you like.
Less than a month away now!
Maybe the rain today and what is predicted for next week will break the fire ban.
I do have a tried and true plan based on many group camping trips. I dig a deep hole and then put a raised toilet seat over it, and there is even a tent enclosure over it. Usually there are a...
We are a friendly group and always welcome new faces. Just show up, and sigh up on the spreadsheet if you don't mind. Closer to time for the event I will post detailed directions, but there is also...
Yes one can drive back to the campsite 90% of the time with a car even. If it happens to be muddy or deep snow it may take four wheel drive. If anyone is unsure about bringing their car back they...
This year for the winter hang and camp-out I will welcome everyone to my place just east of Scottsburg Indiana. There are about 15 acres of woods with a dirt road out to the campsite. There is a...
Sorry guys I am not going to be able to make it. I have been camping 4 weekends straight and now I must take care of some things around the house. See ya next time.
Always good to see you my friend.
I have created a CalTopo map of the area:
https://caltopo.com/m/8KM9
There are several ways to get to the CV2 site which is located near the fire ring. The shortest way is to take the red...
All are welcome, even Buckeyes!
I believe that Butters and I will be able to make it Friday night only.
What is the weight of the kit?
Sorry to hear that Jerry. We missed seeing you.
PS Exactly where was that campsite, I might go shopping this week! LOL

The wife and I had a great time. Pretty sure the three dogs also had a great time too. Always great seeing old friends and meeting new ones.
