The thrift store or even the Costco double diamond bags (if 40° is warm enough for what you need) if not probably go with pads too.

35°- 45° with 40° underquilt sounds good to me, I definitely prefer sleeping in cooler/colder weather

Into something like a tarp tent? I think it'd be awesome to see what you come up with if you end up trying it... No need in throwing away all the material w/o trying. Good luck

I definitely feel your pain, AT sick for me right now but it won't be too much longer and I'll be back out there. Local stuff in the mean time.

I prefer head left but I can do w/either... As long as I'm on my back I can sleep however. Also I've never been able to use even the smallest pillow in a hammock no matter how it's pitched.

It's such a pain once it does start dripping in though... If you've got some old cotton shoelaces they'll work just fine just to get it done. Good luck and have fun!

Also I would call Dutchware and ask them what options you have... They always seem to be more than happy to help from what I've read.

I think if you can get over the weight and "bulkiness" of the Ozark Trail equipment then you'll manage just fine, I wouldn't trust the tent/rain fly in a storm or anything but for fair weather use...
The cat cuts will save weight as well, I guess it all about personal preference. Looking nice btw

Hey Brandon, do you still have the old XLC? Maybe set them up side by side (or back to back and use the same trees each time) and try to see what the difference is, all you're doing is trying to get...
It's called the Hangle from Tato gear... They sell them over at Dutchware, very cool piece of gear.

I generally start at eye height and go from there as far as strap height... Then check for my 30 ish degrees and adjust my buckles if need be. Have you seen those hang levelers? That might help out ...
The Trail Lair was a serious contender for my first hammock, it looks like you can see pretty much all around you and it seems very comfortable too.... I ended up going w/the WBBB mainly for the...
Warbonnet blackbird, it's my first and current hammock but definitely not my last.
