Dutchware was the cheapest I could find last time I was purchasing.
I also have one of Bill's Big Guy hammocks that I just spent my first two nights in yesterday and the day before, and I loved it. I had hung it a few times in my backyard and napped in it but hadn't...
I have the insulated pad, but not the overcover. I have found that in the summer a fleece blanket on top of the pad works, in the winter I put a reflectix pad under the haven pad like a 1.5" or 2"...
My chief problem with the Haven isn't the comfort it's that I struggle to stay warm, even in the summer without some extra layers. I've never taken it to ground but I don't foresee that being a...
I did not do anything to prevent splitting, but if I were to I would use some bank line or similar and put a standard whipping down near the foot.
This won't solve your splicing problem but I quite like to hike with a 6' bamboo pole. I just make a prusik loop from paracord that I put on the pole and that becomes an adjustable height wrist...
I'm in! Thanks Stone!
I was going to suggest the pile hitch but looks like you guys are on it. I always use it on my stakes, except for the rare instance when I used the fixed eye in the end of my line. Heres an easy...
Thats a blast from the past, I love it!:lol:
That came out sweet, well done!
I'm in!

I long ago eschewed whoopies for UCR's and/or straps, I flip-flop between those two, but I never cared for how difficult whoopies were to adjust compared to UCR's.
I like to iron and clip. Set iron really low and 'set' the crease in your hem, adds a little time but subtracts some frustration.
Looks great MacEntyre!!
That's a bummer! You might have to send them some reminder emails. A lot of stuff seems to fall thru the cracks over there, but they make it right eventually. Hope they get you what you need soon.
Short update on my Haven XL.

That's pretty impressive, keep up the good work! Stay safe.
I don't have any site-specific info, I just know it's difficult to stay within the rules of being within 'X' feet of a post planted in the middle of each site. I know that's not much help, but you...

Silicone-based tape that will stick to silnylon or similar products would be recommended over standard seamstick.
Sails are commonly taped together with double-sided tape and then sewn thru the tape.
I say it sure couldn't hurt. On this lazy-mans DIY wookie inspired UQ that I made I put knotty mods on it. See around the 2:15 mark for knotty mod info.

Here is a canvas hammock sock I made ages ago, worked pretty good but I ultimately found that I preferred it with the top open b/c it would otherwise frost up pretty heavily inside. No reason drop...
I don't think my poor old fingers could do it! :D:D:D
I made some UCR’s that have a titanium toggle for the attachment to the hammock, nothing else is terribly interesting about them :-)

I see a lot of talk about the price.... but wait, there's more!
"*Bonus!!! The Cricket Stand comes with a FREE custom carrying case. You’ll have room not only for your hammock stand, but any...
Well done!! That looks pretty handy.
Are you uploading the photos or linking from something like google photos?
Welcome from the greater Battle Creek area. I would 2nd UGQ for quilts, I have uppers and lowers from them, I don't have one of their tarps but I'm pretty sure my sister does and I've heard no...
Welcome aboard from Michigan!
I've made finger patches with the same weight fabric, which was a lot of work but I mostly wanted the aesthetic the next tarp I used one layer of "way overkill" 500d cordura the cordura being much...
Thank you!
Thank you. I've also not had much luck with emailing them. They responded pretty quickly to my first email just to say they were unable to watch the video due to their location and...
I do like how short the suspension length is I think it will be pretty easy to find trees for it. I may have to make a custom tarp for it one of these days. I hope the company gets back with me,...
Thanks Saltfly. None of the issues seem to be getting worse but I haven't slept in it much lately. The mosquitos have been crazy here lately and I'd like to try it again just to see if they can find...
I too am surprised at the weight, but it is a pretty cool design.
Thanks Tikker. The rip hasn't seemed to hurt it so far but it is disappointing. I prefer to enter on the left of this but the zipper is down at the foot when it's closed and it's honestly a little...
Thank you. I try really hard do have decent audio, thanks for noticing.
This review is a bit long-winded but it covers a lot of ground.

Thanks for the info. I may have to hit you up for some more details as I get closer to the trip.
I've got an XL and I'm working on a video. It seems pretty solid but build quality isn't amazing, definitely not cottage vendor quality.
I've got an XL, only slept in it twice, once overnight (most of it anyway) and once for a nap. I'm not much of a side sleeper but it's definitely doable in there.
Love it! I'm tentatively planning to do the same thing this summer (If there's still water in the river :) ) Thanks for sharing.
Tragic. Prayers to his family.
Congrats on the new ride and the sweet hanging rig.... well deserved.
All of that is very encouraging, I too have an XL on order for May, I can't wait!
I find that if I get the RL reasonably tight first, by the time I’m done staking out the corners the RL is noticeably tighter, yet not too tight.
I’ve done V and no V and I like them both. I’ve done a V on a continuous RL and on tarp end Lines and like both very much. I like to change my rig every once and a while just for the variety, I’m...
Well done sir! Those are most impressive.
Welcome from Battle Creek.
