If it happens to be torn near the middle you could salvage for two chairs or a chair and a gear hammock.

Cut it down and turn the torn one into a hammock chair. You need one anyways.

I wouldn’t move. Using your logic you should in fact just find the most unlevel most rocky inhospitable site available every time just so you don’t have to move to give up a better chosen site.

I would go fully length for simplicity. I have both and the only time I use the 3/4 is when it is not cold enough to warrant the full length.

Didn't hit the ground but came close.

I like them with one exception - when using them in the rain the wet straps slipped through them. So I made a small cinch knot of the tag end of the webbing to stop them from slipping.

Finally found a used one on the site earlier this year. That quilt got to return home to its birthplace - Murfreesboro Tn.
