My fam tolerates my hiking hobby but much rather RV camp. Watch for the Louisiana hang in February. Won’t be too far from you.

I like 1.6 HyperD for hammocks. Feels nice, durable, inexpensive, decent weight.

Those four things determine which fabric you need.

What stitching pattern do you use to secure the loop on tree straps?
Is it different for the light weight webbing?

I stopped using sticks because they would hit my tarp occasionally and I was definitely concerned about damaging the tarp. Used knots ever since.
