RUN! While you still have money in the bank. There's no cure for the hammock illness! Run now!
I've seen those mods on utube but not on Havens site, like the idea. However I feel that their money would be better spent on improving their XL pads. Mine started losing air before a year was up,...
I even tried Cling'n Seal food wrap over the valve before closing, no help. I did consider ordering a new pad but I don't like to gamble and can't afford to throw another $110 away.
Yeah. Buy the pump.
I've had mine for at least 4 yrs. Yes I reached out to them and the reply was "All pads will lose some air" Out of a dozen pads, different brands and sizes, Haven is the only one that does this. I...
You're off to a good start, you bought their air pump! Good luck, I hope you don't need the pump every 30 minutes or so. I too love my Haven, just not the constant need to add air.
I've been trying for 2 years or more and L'm on my 3rd Haven and I have finally spent 3 days and 2 nights in my Haven with NO ISSUES!Let me try to explain but first understand I really like my Haven...
That's was my first thought and even being the cheapest valve of all my pads no signs of a leak with soapy water. Is there a better way to test?
All I can say is I own 9 pads, some close to 10 yrs old and the Haven is the only one I constantly have to add air not due to a hole.I can't figure it out I sprayed it with soapy water and could not...
I was just fooling around the other day and found out my OneWind under quilt fits the Haven XL almost like a glove. The loops on the quilt hook on the tarp try downs and you can adjust the with using...
Thermarest is the only one that fits the XL, problem is it cost as much as the complete XL set up. Havens pad is garbage, the cheapest valve on the market and thats a shame. They have a great idea...
If you get a Haven be sure to get their rechargeable air pump. You'll need it every few hours! Thermarest makes a pad that fits the Haven XL, can't recall the name.
Could not agree more with LowTech. I have their complete kit and I'm very happy with it.
all i can say is BULL. I have both products from both, as well as your vendors other than price I have not seen any difference. Not everyone can afford to buy so called top shelf.
oops, I forgot to mention that is a chain link fence top piece cut 20' long between my post.
I have 6x6x12' square post. 3 1/2 to 4' in the ground, w/ cyclone fence on top. I don't use straps, I have several 3/8 eye lag screws in each for different hammocks or hot tent I decide to use. Been...
I'm on my third Haven in as many years, first two I lost to the Pop&Drop. After reading this post I remembered I still Had the bug nets from the other Havens. Decided to try something. Both nets...
RUN! Hammocks are the worse addiction there is, your money and common sense will disappear.
I use Whoopie straps on mine and have never had a problem
Welcome from SW Pa.
Guess I'm lucky, my house is old. Iused 3/8x3 1/2 lag eye bolts. For 5 years no problems. But the studs are true 2x4.
It's ok but a prefer a bigger tarp. You're to closed in for me.
I got down in the teens but that was with their new XL pad but to me even more important ALL that pad noise is GONE.
My question is why the doors are folded over instead of zipped. Thats the tent I have and plan to use with my Haven XL this Christmas eve.
I own several One Tigris hot tents, one mainly for hammock camping, and can definitely tell you your fears are completely wrong! For the pass 3 years I spent Christmas eve in my hot tent. IF you have...
Welcome from the Southwest part of Pa. I envy your being out there hiking and camping. unfortunately my camping and hanging is now restricted to my back yard. Hoping to spend Christmas eve in my...
I use socks all the time, both the warbonnet and dutchware with my WBBB XLC. Recently came across a company called Onewind, very reasonable prices and good craftsmanship. I bought their 12 foot...
I just use eye bolts as close to the center of the studs as possible. I have a set in my bedroom and the livingroom. Keep in mind my house is 100 years old so it has the true 2X4 studs, have never...
I slept in my WB for roughly 2 years, in my bedroom or livingroom in warm weather, when it starts to get cold I move outside. Then my health ruined it for me, had to have a pacemaker put in and the...
They were the xl. In my opinion the pole pockets are junk, the material is too weak and should be doubled and deeper.
I give up! My second one has failed. Once again pole went straight thur the pocket and destroyed the side. Lesson learned, money gone.
Good Luck.
I am VERY HAPPY to say I contacted Haven about my hammocks failure and they replaced it right way. NO send it to us to decide who's at fault or send us pictures! NO hoops to jump thru, just an email...
I looked at that pocket very close this morning and in my opinon they are definitely a weak point. They fold the webbing over and sew the sides, no reinforcement of any kind. In my case the pole went...
Well hate to post this but will. After bragging about how much I like my Haven XL, it got me. Got in it last night, got comfortable heard a pop sound and felt a small drop. Got out to see the...
I am a side sleeper and have spent almost 3 months sleeping in mine, both indoors and outdoors. First I do not care for the tarp, way to confining for me. Couple of things I would change. The corner...
I got the XL, plenty of room, plus very comfortable and I,m a definite side sleeper. It may become my new #1. I plan on using Shug,s ideas to lighten it up. Wonder how long it will take for someone...
I got my Haven XL last week. Have to admit it takes some study, comes with instruction on how to put assemble but not how to hang. No mention of head high or feet high, that you have to figure out...
All I can say is I'LL NEVER OWN ANOTHER TARP WITH SIDE PULL OUTS! First time I used the poles, over the ridge line, on my superfly I left my site for awhile and when I got back the tarp was on the...
They came with Clark N270 hammocks.
I've used mine several times, with and without a tarp, in cold weather consider it a very valuable piece of equipment.
I lucked out. Guy across the street was ready to cut up 2 6x6x12 treated post because they had a small twist, landed up giving them to me. They are now in my yard 18' apart, 4' in the ground....
My cat started hammock using by accident. I had my gear hammock up in the house and for some reason had to go out for something. When I came back inside Cotton had gotten in the hammock and spent...
onetigris.com has them for pre order. Go easy so I get m8ne first.
Better hope Dutch doesn't see this.
Yeah, just beware of B52 sized skeeters! Wind chill factor off their wings alone will send you running.
That's what I thought but at my age I'm never sure. Thank you.
My turn to ask a question. When using my Dutchware winter sock do I still need to use my under quilt protector?
GO on u tube find lone wolf vids he has tables like the one fr9m Germany a lot cheaper and he's in Canada.
I basically had the same problem with my CHAMELEON, unfortunately after a few weeks I gave up and went back to my Blackbird XLC. Never did figure it out but the pain did go away. All I can say is...
