That’s an interesting idea, haven’t heard this one before. I’d try this if I had the space or a house with walls I’d trust enough (500 sqft built in ‘42).
I’ve been thinking of doing some...
Little update, I took my hammock to a local park and set it up there between some trees and the situation was the same, I think whats happening is the hammock is just conforming to the curves of my...
I think removing as many variables as possible is definitely the way to go, I'm gonna do exactly this and give it all another shot. The tensa being a part of the equation didn't even really occur to...
Not gonna lie, I was ogling at the HG Incubator 0* this morning. Those big puffy draft collars with the leg shelf look awesome.
I wonder if another part of my problem is pushing the MW3 to it's...
Interesting, very counter-intuitive... I'll give this a shot. And your link worked perfect, thanks!
And yeah like FLTurtle said, it's just the net that gets flipped. I don't have the net on in...
I started from square one and went back to the stock JRB suspension, three wraps on the head-end and two wraps on the foot-end to provide as much upward lift without running out of too much stretch...
Thanks guys!
I almost mentioned in my post how I've seen shugs video on calfridge... and all his other videos. One time I was watching one when my wife walked in and she goes, "Are you watching...

I've been having a very similar issue. There are a few things I've found that seriously helped me with my underquilt cold spot and finally gave me that aha moment. First is the whole thing about...
Well this did absolute wonders, I don't know why I didn't think of trying it earlier, it seems so obvious! Although this is my first piece of down gear, still learnin'. It has lofted up to what I...
I haven't tried this yet, great idea!
I actually measured the weight with my cheap kitchen scale and it came out to 20.5oz so I think all the down is there, it's just not behaving nicely.
Think I will do just that. Advice much appreciated.:thumbup1:
New, I bought it from JRB last June, haven't taken it on more than a few trips and it's still very clean, can't feel any clumps. The ends with the cinches are super duper lofty, I'll attach some pics...
I have the JRB MW3 and a WBBB XLC and have been having a tough time staying warm when the temps get into the 30's. I finally found a way to hang the UQ so to eliminate the big air pocket that kept...
Very good points. It has been getting nice and cold out where I'm at and it feels great. Think I'll turn my little monkey brain off now. Thanks guys.
I just got my WBBB XLC and I LOVE it. It feels like such a huge upgrade after learning everything I know on my Hennessy Hammock Expedition for the last few years.
A thought just occurred to me...
