Hi guys
I have been on HF for a while but just now getting around to doing this. I am relatively new to hammocking but love it! Love being outdoors... Camping hiking rock climbing mountain...
Nice job. I am still working on my first DIY Hammock. Design is the hardest part.
I found the factory supention to heavey and very time consuming. I replaced with cinch buckles and 15ft tree straps from Dutchware. By far the easiest way to set up.
You can look around and find some chapter options. Underground Quilts is a good place to start. Wilderness logics is good too. But you are going to run into things like differences in length and fill...
Got a few of them myself. 30*TQ with overstuff 20*UQ with overstuff and a 40*UQ. Love my Underground Quilts!
That's pretty impressive if that's all the insulation you use all year around. I have a 20* and 40* under quilt from Underground Quilts .... Love them. I tend to sleep hot but I still need at least...
Watch Shugs video on YouTube he is the best.
I have a Hennessy with a diamond trap. Didn't like how it made me feel like I was just out in the open. So I got the Hex Fly and even though it's a bit heavier it provides a lot more coverage, wind...
I'm in and all paid for. This will be my first group hang looking forward to it
I found UGQ to be pretty reasonable I spent about $230 on 40* full length UQ and $255 for a 30* TQ both with over stuff. I did this because i tend sleep pretty hot. Found i can get 30* out of 40*...
Love my HH Hex fly with door mod. It is a bit heavy but when its really coming down do you want a skimpy tarp??
This is from Hennessey:
Thanks for the inquiry. You would want the Supershelter #2 ZIP for your Explorer Deluxe ZIP. The insulation that comes included will keep your warm down to about 35...
They do have a #1and #2 for different models and classic and zip styles
Wish I could but wedding season is in full swing and I have a wedding to shoot every weekend that month...:(
Thanks. This will be a full size 3 season UQ. I am 6' so it will be about 75"Lx 45"W and filling with duck down.
Hey guys I am putting together an Under Quilt and wondering what would be a good size of shock cord to hang it by?
Thanks
