I had a friend attempt to create one of these before our annual memorial day backpacking trip. Needless to say, he's HORRIBLE at hand sewing and it was not functional at all. But it gave me the idea...
Mine (gray, black and red) weighed in at 2.7 lbs. Which I'm pretty happy with but could have been lighter if i'd have used nothing but down as well.
