I use a 10 deg underquilt, only because hiking when it's hot is miserable. I do most of my hiking in the winters, average of 20-50 lows at night.

This is why I plan on soaking everything in permethrin before I take it outdoors. Ants + Permethrin = no issues lol.

I like the tie outs.. It may stop the sway a bit.. But the shock cord also stretches with the sway, so it only really stops it once it's near the end and the shock cord tension overpowers the sway. ...
