I normally wouldn't post this here, but we did a podcast with Dutch last week and he talked a lot about the history of dutchware, how he got started, the older hammockforums days, etc. I thought I...

HG Dyneema Tarp is SOLD - Darien and Winter Dream still available
Which one? Shoot me an email [email protected] and we can take it from there
Nope! We both have the LiteAF tarps now so I'm getting rid of this one (if you're referring to the HG). Nothing wrong with the winter dream either, it has only been used a few times, also getting rid...
(I have two dariens - one is in Robic, this one is the 1.6)
Yes, video is wrong, my wife fwd me the wrong shipping details.
from the order email "We have a RTS Darien in 1.6 HyperD in the Moroccan Blue." - that's what it is
Thanks you for the heads up - I deleted the incubator out.
It is standard - 10ft, head left lay, it is also "as wide as possible". I will update the post to reflect these details
So here's the deal - between my brother and I we have 6 full hammock setups (+ banyan on the way!), and at this point we can't even store it all! And our wives might kill us if we don't get rid of...
My brother and I will be there!
Selling a (used) pair of GG LT5 poles. They are in pretty good condition, less than ~50 miles on them. One pole has a brand new bottom third section. Here is the GG site where you can read the full...
ITEM HAS BEEN SOLD
Selling a (used) DW Chameleon in Hexon 1.6/blue with a peak loft (and bug net). Hammock was purchased about a year ago, and has been slept in 3-4 nights by my wife. This DOES...
Shawnee State Forest is nestled right up against the Ohio river down in southwest Ohio. Shawnee has been a place we have been putting off for awhile now – mainly due to several videos that exist...
WOW. This is amazing.
Oh nice!
Were the algae blooms still in effect when you were there?
Nice!!! We backpacked Isle Royale in Early September (video in my YT link if you want to see). We stayed at Daisy Farm/Three mile/ McCagargo/Todd/W. Chickenbone. Absolutely loved the island. We only...
Yeah I Was a little nervous taking it - but it performed well and that area is so picturesque!
Last year we got a chance to spend 4 nights on the LHHT – and it was fantastic! During that hike, we did not start in Ohiopyle, and thus skipped the first small stretch of the LHHT. This trail starts...
Andy, but in my defense he used the lucky spoon more!
Awesome info! I guess the only real advantage a canoe has is the ability to portage around the inland lakes then?
We met one guy that was stuck at the same campground for 4 nights due to the water being so choppy. So that can be an issue with using one. All the kayakers were wearing dry-suit tops as well.
Has...
You could get away with resupplying at the store (it would be pricey, but they have everything). A lot of the 14 day people were in sea kayaks. One guy was bringing 120 lbs of gear.
Everyone there was going for 10-14 days, we were very jealous.
We have had Isle Royale on our bucket list for several years now. After much planning we were able to make this happen in early September of this year. For those who don’t know, IRNP is a very large...
Treat with permethrin. On one of my last trips I had an UQ (granted it was vented) and I got absolutely rocked by mosquitoes on my backside. I was using a chameleon in Hexon 1.0. Since treating with...
I cannot believe it took us so long to get this one out. This was the first hammock we ever purchased, and what got us into hammock-camping initially. There is nothing quite like the Warbonnet...
Purely because we both use/prefer the 1.0 Hexon chameleon (the wife uses the 1.6). The 1.6 weighs practically the same as the WBBB XLC
We feel so spoiled being able to use both.
Now to get our hands on a dream hammock....
This is not so much of a product review, rather a review of the similarities and differences between two of the more popular cottage hammocks on the market - the Dutchwaregear Chameleon, and the...
I am really enjoying mine as well
You are correct! We have a mid-morning coffee break every morning where we try and find scenic areas to stop and enjoy a cup :)
I have used the caccoon air core (was too much pillow) and switched to one of Dutch's argon pillows. I have found that I don't need a ton of "pillow" in the hammock, but definitely need something...
Over the holiday weekend my brother and I found a stretch of four nights to head down to Dolly Sods WV (located in Monongahela N.F.). We found dolly sods to be truly unique compared to other areas in...
SOLD. Will ship it out to you today after work.
My paypal is [email protected]. I can get it shipped tomorrow if you can pay. Get me your address in the paypal notes or via email. It will ship from OH.
I am keeping the underquilt I use with it...
Selling my WBBB XLC single-layer 1.7 hammock w/whoopie slings. This was purchased last November, and was slept in about 10-12 times. It is in great condition with no tears/flaws/defects. I have made...
The pack hooks/peak shelf have both been a huge game changer for me as well
As others suggested - the Anker 10000 powercore is awesome (and only 6.5 oz!)
If you are in the market for trekking poles go with the Cascade mountain tech ones. They are ~$50 and a STEAL. I have...
I have the Vargo ascent's from dutch. I did bend one a little after inserting it into the ground (it is still plenty usable), but other than that they have been good!
Carbon fiber interests me...
I'm 6'2 190 and I find the regular plenty wide for me
Looking forward to part 2!!! Thanks for sharing that was fun to watch.
Nice video! I started exposing my wife to hammock camping last year and she's hooked too.
Would love to get out to Grayson - looks beautiful
I'm also waiting for the version with doors - will purchase one immediately for the wife!
I use a stuff sack (dry bag). The Zpacks Large/Cylinder dry bag holds my TQ,UQ, and pillow and rolls all the way down. It is a great way to store everything.
Wow this is a great review of this hammock. Well done!
Shug has a good video on the Wooki. In it he claims you can probably get it to work with other hammocks "with some fiddling" IIRC.
This is something I'm always so scared of when I hang. Close call! Glad everyone is OK.
That is awesome - thanks for sharing!
This is awesome feedback. Thank you!
