This is effectively brand new (it was only released a few weeks ago, as covered in threads on this forum).

Think I found an online coupon and ended up not too much above $150 on a Singer 4452 and it's been great. Built a backpack, some small bags and next up is some clothing. It can do decent bar tacks...

Ah, bling. I also leave the side guys attached (dutch fishhooks), and just throw them into the tarp as I roll it up before sliding the mesh snakeskin over it. Never any tangles.

So I currently have a DCF tarp in a snakeskin...all is good, except that I fiddle way too much with the Dutchware Flyz during setup.

Dangnabbit. Really? I want a 30D DL RR...

I've put a very thick 30" wide pad in a RR and it worked well enough, but was a tight fit. A 2.5" pad, 28 - 30" wide, might be perfect. Even with a 25" wide XLite, I still get cold elbows/triceps.

I just set up my RR at ~23 or 24 feet apart, straps (w/ whoopies) at about 6 feet up. I was just a few inches off the ground.

As a follow-up to my own post...I tried a Large Thermarest with a mummy shape and thought it was fine, though I did not have a rectangular pad to compare it with.

I'd like to buy the Dramur UL w/ poles!

Very curious - has anyone effectively substituted a Large, mummy-shaped pad (25x77) Xlite, Xtherm or Uberlite in a Dramur? Or is that a forlorn hope?

Thanks Shug! I use a pad in the RR too - like the structure it gives, and the pad does double-duty as a pack frame.

Curious if anyone has looked at this...I can now set up my RR with decent speed, and generally get the angles right on the first try (sometimes a small adjustment needed).
