And here I was hoping you had developed some sort of donut cannon so we could have socially distanced donuts.

Picked up site 65.
I usually end up at 67 or 65.
We can't book until 6 months out, so not until the 17th.
Putting it on the calendar.
Hoping to be there around 1-2pm tomorrow. Can’t wait.!
Is anyone planning on staying thru Monday? Seems like that will be our only option if we want to sneak in another day in the woods.
Haven't thought of staying into Monday, but I'm thinking of getting up there on Thursday instead of Friday.
Putting it on the calendar, will know for sure as we get closer.
Awesome, I'll be there.
I don't have my schedule out that far, but I also prefer DAR.
If you have any energy after that ride in, there will be a few of us hitting the trails in HP on Saturday. If not, there will be lots of food around to recoup lost calories.
More than one.
I've used Dutchwire for the last year and I'll be switching back to Zing-it/Lash-it on all but my UL stuff. I've had issues on a few of my tarps with the dutchwire fraying when used with fleas. I...
What could possibly go wrong with going into the woods with a bunch of people (who really love their knives) you met online? I guess the plus of HP is that cell phones still work...
Plenty of people will be there to talk your ear off about both bikepacking and hammocks.
Had a great time as always, thanks to everyone that put it together and donated to the raffle. Happy to give the hillbilly stove a name.
...
Neither of us have been out there so I doubt we’d be moving super fast. It does look like there are so interesting trails.

Can't wait for tomorrow, been having dreams about sleeping in my hammock. Mr Hook and I plan on doing some mountain bike riding at Willard Brook State Park on Saturday as long as the trails aren't...
Saw one of the prototypes last year. Seems like a great tarp and it's nice and light weight. However, I don't think it's worth the $180 price tag. If it were $30-50 less I would buy one instantly.
Picked up site 67, should be me and Emily. Can't wait!
As usual I had a great time. Food was great, it was my first time having squirrel (especially a hand carved squirrel tenderloin) and moose. Even got to ride the plus bike on the lake before the rain...
The address I find on google is 22 Sugar Hill Rd, Williamsburg, MA 01096. If I remember correctly, the entrance we use is off of 143 on the other side of the pond.
Hoping the temp drops soon...
Down is way more durable than synthetics concerning compressibility. When down looses loft, you can put it in a drier with some tennis balls to get it back. Once synthetic looses loft, it's gone...
Putting it on the calendar.
Like the others, I will just go off trail in the whites. I have stayed at a few of the campground, but usually only after the season is over and they are "closed" which means no issues hanging over...
Put in in the calendar, looks like I'll at least have Saturday/Sunday off that week. Will def know more closer to to June.
1. Which model is preferred if you have used both?
-Phoenix. Incubator if approaching 0.
2. Do you own one but wish you purchased the other and why?
- N/A
3. Better to own the...
Hoping to get there around 10am-noon tomorrow. I’d be up for that hike if I’m not too late. I’m a little bummed the weather is getting warmer tomorrow and Saturday, was hoping for below freezing.
Hoping to get there around 6-7pm tomorrow with Mr Hook in tow.
The Chesterfield Scout Reservation in Chesterfield MA.
When I was in my gram weenie phase I used lighterpack. Now that pretty much all my gear is UL, I don't obsess as much about breaking everything down so much. All I tend to do know is weigh the pack...
My vote goes towards the chili. The venison roast would be awesome if we can make an oven for it like we did with the roast at the winter hang.
The next official NEHHA hang is Oct 12th-14th at DAR State Forest. There is a thread about it Here. After that the next one is the Winter Hang in January.
There are also various unofficial hangs...
But drinking is illegal in all MA state parks.... We wouldn't want to do anything bad...
Looking forward to this hang. I'll be missing L&L to hopefully get some hiking in, something I haven't done a lot of this year.
The goal in the whites is to find an area flat enough and with thick enough trees. Higher elevations can be tricky, but you can make it work (even if the trees sag a bit when you get in). I will look...
I personally hate the one bucket method. The speed is nice, but it gives the potential of all the good items going away with the first round of people coming up. The one bucket method would prevent...
Will my Laser Disc collection be ok though?
Finally getting around to going through the pictures I took. Had a great time riding my bike out to the hang, and was happy I got to test the new minifly in some rain. Food and company were great as...
Sagging down is normal. My mini fly kept me bone dry last weekend, and I was hanging further down than you. In blowing rain I'd pitch it steeper and much closer to my ridgeline.

I don't have any specific camping sites to post, however you are allowed to do dispersed camping in the whites. You need to be 200 yards from the trail/water, and 1/4 mile from the official sites....
I'm sure it'll disappear just fine.
I'm hoping to do cooler corn as long as I can have someone bring a cooler and a large pot for me. Still planing on riding my bike, so getting those supplies to...
Other than having some shockcord on the guylines, I hang all my tarps the same. I will crank down a bit more on the sil stuff to get a tight pitch, but it's mostly so it won't flap all night.
It needs to rain, how else am I supposed to know my new tarp works? Just as long as it stops before my bike ride home.
That's exactly what those rings are for. That and the spindrift. Works better than clipping them to your suspension or tree.
I'll use either my Superfly or my Cloudburst. The doors won't close all the way on the SF, but it still works well. The cloudburst is amazing as long as you are fine with no doors, it's almost as if...
As much as I love my HG hex, once winter sets in I'll take the Superfly.
Keep in mind that you can dispersed camp in most areas in the whites as long as you are .25 miles away from a campground/shelter, and 200 yards away from the water and trail. I haven't had any issue...
It's on the calendar. I'll have a better idea once we get closer to the date.
