I don't think either is going to be wide enough. AFAIK both use the regular (not wide) Xenon, which means the tarp will be about 10' wide at best. That is IMHO adequate - but barely and with...

Our troop is establishing some requirements, somewhat like a Tot'n / Firem'n Chit, for boys who want to overnight in hammocks instead of tents. It's a work in progress, but the main points so far...
I think it's been around for a while, but as a fairly small niche. Seems to be getting more popular lately, but that might be observation bias on my part.
I actually have a tarp made to KC's Cat Tangle design, which is my current favorite for hanging solo and is currently the best hammock specific tarp I have for a spreader bar two hammock setup. But...
Wow. That's certainly different - and it looks like a better solution than anything I've seen so far for a Dutch tandem setup. Think I might have to make one of these once your design is finished....
As for rumors, I can confirm that Dutch really has had the mythical "tandem tarp" on his todo list for a while :D but any more than that you'll have to wait for him to reveal. I expect it to be very...
I'll take it - #3 (mule tape)
I have a spool of PETG, although I don't think I've printed anything with it yet (just PLA so far). I'd be willing to give this a try though. I did a bit of design with one of the parametric /...
I typically have a small zing-it CL larks-headed on the tarp's ridgeline attachment which I place in the "hook" on the Nama Claw. If there's too much tension to release/adjust the Nama Claw, it's...
Haven't specifically tried an EVO-loop, but I've made a variety of soft shackles with zing-it (1.7fmm yellow and gray dynema from Dutch). I also just made an almost-an-EVO-loop, based on a modified...
That is pretty slick... any idea how much force those stakes need to deal with? Using 3 foot rebar for stakes might be difficult in Georgia clay. At first glance, it looks like even one stake...
I'm not sure, but the combination of triangular panels, shallow angle, and tight bottom edges might introduce serious issues with water pooling. Maybe not if you get your angles just right and...
While I haven't tried them side by side, I have a True Timber and several Argon 1.6 Dutch Netless hammocks and they feel similar (some people may be more sensitive to fabric texture and stretch than...
I've actually used Dutch's 10" Loop Turner 165988 quite successfully with zing-it / lash-it and similar 1.8mm cords. It was a little awkward at first, but after a bit of practice it's not bad at...
I think he's flipping them around - removing the CL from the gathered end and attaching the fixed loop on the whoopie sling instead - like War Bonnet does when you order a whoopie sling suspension...
Partially - the whoopie hook does get rid of the carabiner. But I don't see how moving the CL to the hugger makes any difference with the Dutch Clip. Whether the CL is on the hugger or the hammock,...
That's similar to what I did (I'm pretty sure I used bigger than 3/4" conduit though), works fine and you could most likely use the yellow pole as an anchor. It should fold up easily, only issue is...
Where you would have needed a carabiner with the CL on the hammock and the whoopie on the hugger? I often use a similar setup (Whoopie Sling w/ Dutch Whoopie Hook on strap/hugger w/ larks head...
How portable do you want it to be? I'm not aware of anything that would work well for backpacking, but the Tensa 4 seems promising for car camping (just got mine, haven't actually hung in it yet). ...
If you setup an account and login, I believe that lets you post reviews and questions.
Not sure how you'd do that anonymously, unless you use an account name that nobody will recognize.
That rainbow webbing does look pretty amazing. Hope those yellow whoopie slings aren't too bright. I think I've ordered at least one piece of the 7/64" Amsteel in every color Dutch offers, and...
That really caught my eye - at first I thought it had a SRL and a matching integrated bugnet, kinda like a Dutch Half Zip. Unfortunately that was an illusion - just a colorful 10' hammock, no bugnet,...
I'm just making a bunch of DIY huggers / straps using 2" orange poly webbing from dutchwaregear.com, mostly for our Scout troop. They might be a bit heavy and bulky for backpacking, but they should...
Agreed - whatever colors you wanna fly, they'll be a lot more visible on a tarp than a hammock! (course you could always do both). Also, FWIW I don't think you can get Print2Fabric on the wide...
Ok, that makes more sense now. Might want to change the bit that says "ultimate nylon quilt material" on the P2F ARGON 15D page :D
What's the difference between A90 and ARGON 15D ?
I was thinking flames might be nice...
Shorts are made of "Argon 90", the only Print2Fabric option for Argon is 15D - but those might be the same material? They're both calendered DWR nylon at...
Not normally my color, but something about that purple was really enticing.

You might want to try bypassing the cat-cut channel by whipping the ends and see if you like it better that way. With a whipped end you can tweak where the material enters the whipped section all...
Do you mean you want to slide it all to one end (head or foot) of the ridgeline, so it's all bunched up on that end and out of the way?
So how's the new stuff? Hope the waiting wasn't too awful. You've gotta share a picture of all of it set up at once. :D
Did you ever file a police report on the gear that was stolen?
Had to go check out the link to find out what they were really called, didn't expect to discover the product's name is actually "Triangle Thingies". Pretty cool idea :...
Tried calling the campsite but no answer yet... Any idea if there would be any secure and air-conditioned space to store instruments over the weekend while not in use, and whether any power will be...
I spent Saturday night in central Illinois in my WBBB XLC with 20°Wooki, low was maybe 70°. I did add a little slack on one end. At one point I pulled it out of the way, but ended up pulling it...
Maybe you need a bigger challenge - how 'bout a stainless steel Sidecar with a flux capacitor? :D
Although you can order the Half-Zip with a top cover instead of a regular bugnet.
I've...
I might actually want replace some of the grosgrain "edge" on a tarp. Those olives on top might have matched the color OK, if it weren't for the pimentos...
Another very happy customer - setup three tarp continuous ridgelines, each with two claws, Ti Dutch Hook on one end and one Dutch Tarp Fly(z - half a pair) or Wasp on the other. Worked great.
FWIW, on Amazon it's $33.33, and a 180' spool of ZingIt is currently $29 at DutchWareGear.com (although shipping is extra). And I never have any problems finding "add on" items from DutchWare... ;)
You should be just fine at 245 in a Chameleon Wide single layer 1.6. I don't think I'm quite at 245, but I'm certainly close and it's been great for me. But you really should have gone for Deep...
I'll add more detail later (we're travelling so I haven't had much time to keep up lately) BUT I recently put the 10
x 13 YUEDGE Tarp through a bit of a torture test, and the results were a little...
If I'm seeing correctly, we now know the answer is "ten days at the very most" ? :D
Looks great! That tarp looks crazy wide but I don't see any seams - still just two panels? I've been...
If you really want it, they can probably do it as a special order. AFAIK the whole thing is printed on white, so it would just be a matter of changing the background color - I don't think they...
The bug net is an option (additional cost) for the Chameleon, vs built in for the Half Zipped
They'll definitely work - this is the second set I've ordered and I already have another set in a Chameleon clone and I've had no problems using it with "official" DutchWareGear bugnets. Just tell...
Looks similar to the Yukon Outfitters bugnet hammock I got on Amazon years ago. In which case :
Yes and no. I replaced the stock rope ends with amsteel CLs and added a structural ridgeline. It...
Actually, yes - I've seen it on the shelves locally. Pretty sure it was at a Kroger, although it might have been Publix. If you're going to be at the Blade Show, I can bring some with me and you...
I have the Asym bugnet (technically the Integrated Sidecar top cover - but made with all mesh) for my Chameleon and I like it a lot. I occasionally notice a little bit of floppiness on the net...
Yeah, well, the Tetra Drip is ONLY 10.6 grams. (never mind the fact that it just holds a cone filter, as opposed to having the filter built in. Real mean don't need no stinkin...
Welcome!
Things have come a LONG way since the "stereotypical huge white net hammock", but they still beat sleeping on the ground - and even worked overnight in the snow :D But yeah, today's...
As the happy owner of a custom kitsapcowboy ROBIC Chameleon clone and some sweet little "Starry Night" bags he whipped up, I'm personally quite thankful for both KC's skills and RSBTR's materials. ...
