That looks like much harder work.
Just get precut baffles in the width you need and tape them down. Run them quickly through machine. You can do an underquilt or topquilt easily in a few hours. ...
Also try loosen thread tension a little bit

Decided to build my underquilt with the clew type suspension.
I did a variation on the Karo step with some V shaped baffles in a type of zig zag. Was a bit of a ***** to sew and took...
I had this problem today and from some experimenting and reading this I thnk I know what is wrong, at least on my machine.
Basically I think the fabric is too light for the needle that Im using....

So feeling more confident I started on with sewing in the baffles on the main part once again using contrasting thread.

Then on to sewing the inner shell and outer together. This...
Then on with the main project of the topquilt. I ordered the materials from Extreme Textile (I had previously ordered the sample pack for about £5 so I knew what I was getting).

I had never used a sewing machine before, although my mom made a lot of our clothes until I reached high school so I spent a fair number of evening at the dining room table watching her sew and I...
I’ve been a long time lurker here with only a few posts in recent weeks as I’ve embarked on making a DIY Down topquilt. I have a WBBB XLC and a Sierra Designs Backcountry Quilt. I have only used my...

Great work on the quilt
Did you get your fabric custom printed by OutdoorINK? I dont see that one on the RSBTR website.
How do you go about getting a one off print or designing a custom...
Thank you for the answers. Just the info I was looking for.
Your finished quilt looks awesome. I might decide to save just a month or two more and get some of that custom print from RSBTR
