I tried my ambush ridgerunner quilt awhile back and I think it would work. I just needed to find a way to tighten up the foot end. I forgot about it actually as my downmat 9 keeps me plenty warm in...

I PMd you a few weeks back asking if yours had the snaps at the bottom and you said it didn't.

I'm not sure why either. It's not a big deal but it did make things a little easier.

2QZQ makes an UQP for a bridge hammock.

Highly recommend this trail. Tough and beautiful.

He was comparing the cost of a 0° to what a 20° quilt use to cost. Maybe I'm reading it wrong [emoji3]

You should read a post a little closer before you post a reply to it. Looks like significant savings to me.

What's the fill power ?

I didn't know you could get it in camo or I probably would have gone that route. Looks great! It is pricey for sure but as your pics show it fits like a glove. I know I'm glad I bit the bullet and...
30° bandit ordered. Great deal so get in on it.

I have a 2.0 coming my way in the mail now.

Looks great. It's a great piece of gear for sure.

Great I'm thinking of upgrading and look forward to your opinion.

This should explain everything for you.

Flys allow you to slide along the ridgeline as well
Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
I swapped out all the cordage. Went with zingit with dutch flies for the ridgeline and zingit with tarpworms for the tie outs. There is nothing wrong with what comes with the tarp it's just what I...
For me yes. The 7.5 Ridgeline is perfect and gives complete coverage. If I was to have one made I would avoid a longer Ridgeline as you will be contacting your hammock suspension with the tarp,...
The doors roll up and tie back with toggles so you don't even notice them . I rarely use them but have been glad I've had them especially on cold winter windy nights.

I have the CF tarp from Luke. Obviously fits the 90 perfect, only thing I changed out were the linelocs to dutch worms. Super light and super expensive haha.

H20 is not the best spot but has some places to hang. H38 is very nice but you may have to hang back in the woods a bit due to it being a very open site. I gotta say your video last year inspired me...
I stayed at h20 and h38. Hopefully the trail dries out for you. It was very sloppy with patches of snow in spots.

I tend to look for trees 10-11 foot apart so the straps don't have to be up that high. SLD make great tarps so enjoy.
Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
With a 9' Ridgeline the tarp must be in contact with the 90° hammock suspension. Do you think that will be a problem? My cf from hammocktent is 7.5 and it just clears the suspension.

That's pretty much my itinerary but I'm doing it this Friday to Sunday.

You shouldn't have a problem. Of those sites I've been on 21,33 and 48 and was no problem for two hammocks. 6 and 46 work as well.

I've tried both ways an prefer it in the sleeve. I found on top it was more tippy but still worked fine.

You mentioned this is her first trip. 5 days is a pretty long backpacking trip. I bring it up because I took my wife on a three day backpack trip which was her first and it turned out to be to much...
Trim back a strand or two and feed that in first.

It's not that far of a drive Shug. Come on up and hang with us. Ribs and steaks are on us. [emoji3]

What is the ridgeline length of the wbgt. The stock cf tarp is 7'6" to help prevent contacting the hammock. Not a solution just some info for you.

I'm 225 and have several nights in my 90° and that's the UL version. He still has the 50% off sale going on.

I didn't notice an increase in noise but maybe that's just me . I taut pitch should help with that. I don't treat it any different then my other tarps and have never damaged it. It's a more robust...

I also have both hammocks, and I agree the 90 is just more comfy overall.

I've used the MS poles with my rr numerous times with no issues. 220lbs
Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
I just use a stick about an inch in diameter. Bury it lengthwise a foot or so and pack the snow down on top. After a couple hours stomp on it again to pack it some more. I did this last weekend and I...
DD Hammocks have some nice tarps with tons of tie outs and multiple loops across the ridgeline.
Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
It's a great suspension. I like being able to hang both straps and then the hammock so the hammock never touches the ground.
Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
I'm not exactly sure what you mean. A Dutch stinger is not intended to hold the weight of a person so I wouldn't use that as part of a suspension.
Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
I swapped it out for Dutch cinch bugs with dynemma / poly straps. I didn't like the rings either. I like being able to remove the suspension from the hammock as well.

I had the 12' standard with doors. I found it didn't provide enough coverage width wise for my rr. I wish I would have got the palace so I ended up selling it. A 11' or 12' palace is the way to go...
Perhaps something like the 90° hammock from hammocktent.com. would work for you. You can hang in as little of a gap as 8.5 feet up to about 20 ft. You will not get calf ridge with this style of...
With the deal he has right now you really can't lose. Comfort is subjective , but for me I know I sleep much better through the night then I have with any other hammock.

I would stake out the pullouts individually. Have you tried that?
Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
I haven't tried it in mine since I have the sleeve but I would imagine it would work.
Sent from my SM-N900W8 using Tapatalk
Not shug but I'll give my imput haha. I've owned both the amok and the wrr. The amok is more comfy especially for side sleeping imo. If weight is not and issue then go with amok. I eventually sold my...
Get yourself an exped snoozle bag. It airs up the pad way quicker and easier. It also doubles as a dry bag to put your quilts and clothes in.
